Judith Barban is a native of Atlanta, GA. She garnered numerous scholastic awards and honors as professor of French, first in Atlanta at Kennesaw State University, then in Rock Hill, SC, at Winthrop University. After retirement, Judith wrote her first novel, “Poplar River,” which won the top prize from the Southeastern Writers Association in 2009. Judith is a classical pianist who performs solo recitals and occasionally plays duo piano programs with her husband, international concert and recording artist Eugene Barban. Judith and Eugene live in Tega Cay, SC, and spend a part of every summer fishing in the Canadian wilderness.
