Kathryn Hilliard Lykken Klos was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she grew up, married, and had a number of wonderful children. The daughter of a high school English teacher and a mom who loved to write, Kathy hopes they are smiling down from someplace on her creative endeavors with Amazon.
Education-wise, Kathy attended Macalester College in St. Paul, majoring in English and theater. She graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Nursing with a BSN and received a JD from William Mitchell College of Law. She has worked as a registered nurse and has stayed out of court as much as possible.
Although a Minnesotan at heart, Kathy has lived in Michigan's Upper Peninsula since 2002. She encourages visitors of all species to feeders outside a log home on nine acres that she shares with persons of the human, canine, feline and avian persuasion.
Aside from writing, Kathy's passions include history, genealogy, videography (YouTube handle: kkloskklos), paddling old wooden canoes and exploring the woods and other U.P. environs (when the weather doesn't make it seem like the ice moon from her novel "The Storyteller").
Aside from further books involving characters from "The Storyteller", Kathy is working on an historical piece titled, "The Morris Canoes of Veazie, Maine" and a mainstream novel, "Making-Do in Pottersville".
